60 V → 12 V high-density GaN converter
A 1.8 kW gallium-nitride point-of-load converter that bridges 48 V and 60 V distribution to legacy 12 V loads — at extreme power density and near-flat efficiency.
The 48 V-to-12 V bridge, done right
As vehicles move primary distribution to 48 V, the 12 V net still feeds lighting, ECUs, and legacy actuators. The PDC-6012 is a non-isolated, multiphase synchronous buck built on gallium-nitride HEMTs and powder-core inductors. Six interleaved phases switch fast and ripple-cancel, yielding a compact, near-flat efficiency curve and clean 12 V output — with optional bidirectional boost for 12 V-to-48 V support.
- Exceptional 8.5 kW/L power density in a sealed conduction- or liquid-cooled package.
- 98.6% peak efficiency, held within a point across most of the load range.
- Six-phase interleaving for low ripple and fast transient response.
- CAN-FD and PMBus control, with the same diagnostics model as the HVX™ converters.
