About us

We build the power electronics electrification depends on.

Powder Devices is a power-electronics company focused on one hard problem: moving energy between high-voltage and low-voltage domains, at the density and reliability that modern electric platforms demand.

Our mission

Make high-voltage conversion small, efficient, and dependable.

Founded in 2021, Powder Devices grew out of a simple conviction: as vehicles and machines electrify, the converters that tie their voltage domains together would have to get dramatically better — not incrementally, but generationally.

Our name reflects our edge. Advanced powder-core magnetics, paired with wide-bandgap semiconductors, let us shrink the bulkiest parts of a converter without sacrificing efficiency or thermal margin. We design the full stack — silicon, magnetics, control, and mechanics — under one roof.

What we do

From first principles to production

Design

Topology, magnetics, control firmware, and mechanical packaging — engineered together in-house.

Validate

Electrical, thermal, EMC, and environmental testing against automotive standards before release.

Manufacture

Automated assembly and 100% end-of-line screening with per-unit traceability.

Support

Hands-on integration and applications engineering through your design-in and ramp.

Customize

Adapt voltage, power, form factor, and interface to program-specific requirements.

Qualify

Component, process, and functional-safety workflows aligned to AEC-Q, IATF 16949, and ISO 26262.

Quality & reliability

Built to the standards that programs require.

We engineer to the automotive industry's reliability and safety standards from day one — selecting qualified components, controlling our processes, and screening every unit. Certification and qualification status is product-specific and documented in each datasheet.

  • Components selected to AEC-Q100 / Q101.
  • Production developed against IATF 16949 process discipline.
  • Functional safety per ISO 26262, ASIL B capable.
  • 100% end-of-line functional and HV-isolation testing.
